About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a reputable gastro pub in the Thetford area. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management
  • Assist in the training and development of junior chefs
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Prepare and cook a range of dishes to a high standard
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of local and seasonal produce
  • Excellent knife skills and cooking techniques
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum
  • Overtime and tips
  • Parking on site
