We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and skilled individual to become a vital member of our Engineering Team as a Heavy Vehicle Service Specialist.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure the safety and dependability of our fleet by executing maintenance and service tasks on our vehicles and trailers according to established maintenance protocols. Your efforts will be crucial in keeping our fleet compliant and operational.

Working Schedule: 40 hours per week

Shift Timing: Monday to Friday, 16:00 - 00:30 (with a 30-minute unpaid break)

Compensation: Base pay of £19.84 per hour, with additional premiums for hours worked between 19:00 - 22:00 (£2.13 per hour) and 22:00 - 06:00 (£2.58 per hour).

Your Key Duties Include:

  • Completing signed service and inspection documentation.
  • Filling out defect reports and related paperwork to meet legal standards.
  • Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual inspections to ensure a first-time pass.
  • Conducting various vehicle repairs, identifying and resolving defects.
  • Ensuring the safe and effective use of all tools and equipment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workspace while performing other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • Fully qualified with relevant licenses and vocational training (e.g., LGV C&E license).
  • City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent in commercial vehicle maintenance.
  • Proficient in the operation of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy vehicle components.
  • Experience in welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting.
  • Possession of a valid driving license.
  • Prior experience in a similar position.
