Job Title: Human Performance Engineer

Location: Plymouth (hybrid working, onsite fortnightly)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Human Performance Engineer to join our team.

  • This role will involve providing support to the Principal Engineer on design, safety assessment, and human performance related aspects of our business.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking human factors assessment work for ergonomic design development, safety assessment, and verification/validation of high hazard systems, processes, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Principal Engineer in the development of designs that meet safety and performance requirements.
  2. Conduct safety assessments and human performance analyses to identify potential hazards and risks.
  3. Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and programmes for human factors assessment work in support of business programmes.
  4. Liaise with regulatory bodies on Human Factors related issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, psychology, or human factors.
  • Proven experience in human factors engineering with a focus on ergonomics, safety assessment, and human reliability analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
