Operations Manager for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the Role:
Organon is seeking an Operations Manager to join our manufacturing site in Northumberland. In this position, you will provide technical leadership for technology transfer and commercial manufacture of Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) bi-layer film coated tablets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead strategies for process and cleaning validation, providing technical manufacturing assistance with validation protocols and overseeing execution.
- Provide technical oversight and support for associated processes including change control, Master formulae and recipes.
- Develop and maintain appropriate process monitoring and control systems and oversee formal process reviews and investigations.
- Investigate and follow up issues arising from manufacturing or laboratory deviations, establishing assignable causes for atypical processing events and implementing appropriate actions to improve process capability.
- Ensure effective knowledge management for the product and manufacture process.
- Apply project management tools to ensure effective control, visualization, and delivery of activities.
- Management and leadership of cross-functional teams and specialist tasks.
- Performance management of personnel within the performance management system, including coaching and mentoring.
- Ensure compliance and provide support to Quality, Safety, Environmental, and Finance systems.
About You:
We are looking for a seasoned professional with demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing within a process support environment.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of OSD processes and bi-layer tableting.
- Degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent.
- Excellent technical communication and influencing skills.
- Cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
- Project management skills in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to anticipate and solve problems, managing multiple priorities and monitor execution to plan.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful business relationships with partners.

Salary Information:
The estimated annualized salary for this position is £60,000-£80,000, depending on location and experience.
