Job Summary:

Cater Care Australia is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at our aged care residence in Grange. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality meal experience for our residents while maintaining a well-run kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  2. Oversee site management, including stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking.
  3. Adhere to food hygiene and safety practices, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  4. Develop and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  5. Assist the broader team as required, contributing to the overall success of our aged care residence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  2. A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  3. Experience in managing labour, food, and operational costs.
  4. Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management.
  5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  6. A willingness to provide training and mentoring to team members, as required.
