Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with an international food manufacturer to recruit an Environmental Sustainability Manager based in Leicester. This role will lead the review and development of the company's environmental management policies and systems for UK sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate the company's sustainable development strategy to colleagues and ensure its aspects are understood by senior leadership across all sites.
- Lead the environmental management audit programme, ensuring audits are completed in accordance with the agreed schedule and provide necessary guidance and support to all.
- Manage the annual environmental review for UK sites, ensuring effective waste management and recycling processes are in place and monitored.
- Lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) programme, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a dynamic food manufacturing environment.
- IEMA Certification/NEBOSH Environmental Certification.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong track record of leading and motivating teams in previous positions.
- Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
What's on Offer:
- Paying £63,000 + £9,000 car allowance.
- 10% bonus.
- 5% pension.
- 33 days holiday.
- Onsite Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm.
