Relais & Châteaux at Thornbury Castle is seeking a skilled Food & Beverage Assistant to enhance our professional Food & Beverage Team. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating memorable and impressive 5* experiences for our guests. Our company goal is to deliver refined and personalized hospitality, making our hotel a place where all guests can relax, enjoy themselves, and have a break from normal life. To feel like royalty in a unique place with unique people. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks.
• Answer all queries about the menu, including drinks, and make suggestions.
• Take ownership of guests' requirements and food allergies.
• Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures.
• Set up the dining areas and process charges and payments.
• Effectively communicate with all colleagues and managers.
• Handle guest queries and complaints with a calm and mature approach.
• An additional share of service charge and tips every 2 months.
• 28-day holiday including bank holidays.
• Additional paid day off on your birthday.
• Complimentary stay at the castle after 3 months' probation period successfully passed.
• Training programmes via internal & external professionals and access to online training facilities.

Requirements:

• Dedicated team player with strong communication skills.
• Natural passion and flair for the industry and food.
• Ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative when needed.
• Ambition to succeed at the highest levels.
• Willing to learn new things.

Working Hours:

• 8 hour shifts between 7am and 11pm.
• Full-time permanent position - 40 hours per week worked including evening shifts and weekends.
• £11.92 per hour depending on experience.
