Senior Highway Engineer Opportunity

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Engineer to join our team in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of our Highways, Transport & Infrastructure division, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering highway and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and delivery of highway and civil engineering projects, ensuring quality, programme, and financial targets are met.
  • Provide specialist technical knowledge and support to colleagues, clients, and external bodies.
  • Manage the evaluation and authorisation of externally designed engineering schemes.
  • Collaborate with the Construction and Commercial Division to achieve business plan objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety management systems and processes.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop their technical expertise.
  • Manage consultation, communication, and liaison with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician.
  • Strong ICT skills, including competence in specialist computer applications.
  • Extensive working knowledge of current highway design and civil engineering standards.
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
