Renal Transplant Specialist Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our renal transplant specialist nurse team. The role involves planning, assessing, and maintaining transplantation for renal patients, with a focus on quality improvement.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to patient care. Clinical audit is core to the monitoring of service standards and delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Main Duties
- To support the BCUHB in increasing the number of renal/pancreas transplant patients and living donor transplants.
- To provide specialist nursing expertise, knowledge, and skills in the clinical practice of transplantation nursing care.
- To be an agent for change to emphasize patient empowerment and self-care within defined clinical and organizational boundaries.
- To enhance education through the teaching of patients, families, and colleagues to improve clinical practice and patient care.
- To provide a consistent approach and share best practice across BCUHB.
