We are looking for a skilled University Registrar Assistant to join our team at the University of Victoria. As a key member of our Office of the Registrar and Enrolment Management (OREM), you will provide administrative support to UVic undergraduate students, including evaluating students for re-registration, determining and assigning transfer credit, and responding to inquiries from students, staff and faculty.

About the Job

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for processing applications for graduation, completing co-op registrations, and registering students for outgoing exchange programs.

In addition, you will participate in determining changes in policies and procedures, which may involve in-depth research and analysis. This role also involves extensive testing in the development and pre-production instances of Banner, as well as providing a consulting role on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate students for re-registration and determine transfer credit.
  • Process applications for graduation, complete co-op registrations, and register students for outgoing exchange programs.
  • Respond to inquiries from students, staff, and faculty.

Estimated Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications
  • Proven advanced clerical skills in a post-secondary institution or an equivalent administrative office environment.
  • Strong customer service background and experience in dealing with highly sensitive, very detailed and confidential issues.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of email and phone correspondence involving complex student situations on a daily basis.
