Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineering Director to join our engineering team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver complex projects, providing technical leadership and direction to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role will involve:
1. Providing technical leadership and direction to ensure successful project outcomes.
2. Developing and implementing effective project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and develop solutions to meet customer needs.
4. Managing and developing a team of engineers, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
5. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
1. A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent qualification.
2. Proven experience in a project engineering management role, preferably in the defence industry.
3. Strong technical knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices, including design, development, testing, and integration of complex systems.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of engineers.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
