As a valued member of the Aspire People team, we are seeking an exceptional Primary Support Specialist to join our dynamic group of professionals.

The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

  • Support Student Learning: Collaborate with teachers and educational psychologists to develop and implement tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a Nurturing Environment: Establish a calm and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and supported emotionally.
  • Adapt Teaching Strategies: Utilize effective behavior management techniques and adapt teaching approaches to meet the specific challenges and abilities of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support in planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, focusing on students with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs.
  2. Implement effective behavior management techniques, maintaining a positive atmosphere in the classroom.
  3. Work closely with teachers, educational psychologists, and other support staff to develop and implement IEPs.
  4. Track student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
  5. Promote inclusive practices and social integration of students with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs.
