Tooling Engineer Opportunity

We are working with a leading manufacturing client in the UK who is seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture and maintenance of press tools, jigs, and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing traditional toolroom equipment and operating Wire Erosion/EDM machines.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment within the toolroom.
  • Programming and operating EDM machinery using CAD programs.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or aerospace.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • CAD experience - any package.
  • Be PC literate.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • Manual machinery - Bridgport, grinding etc experience.
  • Have a minimum 4-5 years' work experience within a tooling environment.
  • Hold a relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification or have considerable practical experience in a similar environment.
