Commissioning Manager Role Overview

This is a new build opportunity with an attractive salary and a welcome bonus.

The Applewood is a newly built care home in Giffard Park offering high-quality residential, residential dementia, and nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the well-being of our Residents, including making sure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor your team and deliver clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth, and efficient running of the care home.
  • Carry out assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each of our Residents.
  • Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation.
  • Promote our Residents' independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.

About You

For you, that will mean the chance to lead that provision through effective leadership and home management. You'll make sure we have the best people on-site, delivering a truly empathic service.

You'll champion Resident wellbeing, establish a vision and development plan for the home, or carry out quality assurance monitoring to take us above and beyond regulatory standards, all with a sense of kindness above anything else.

We're looking for a care home experienced commissioning manager. You'll also either have a Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care level 4/5, or willingness to study for one. Not to mention leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and conducting risk assessments.

And, above all, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and therefore it is essential that you are able to recognize the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm, or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns.

All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.

You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
