About the Role
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Skills Training Specialist to join our Mandatory and Essential Skills Training team. This exciting opportunity will appeal to a registered clinical professional with a passion for developing others and experience in designing and delivering mental health clinical skills training.
We are looking for someone who can lead on provision of comprehensive competency-based programmes, including design, planning, delivery, and quality assurance of training. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, including experience of assessing skills competence in specialist mental health clinical settings.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage, support, motivate, and lead others to deliver high-quality care. They will also be able to promote meaningful staff engagement in work-based learning opportunities and support analysis of training needs and quality assurance measures.
In addition to leading on the design and delivery of mandatory training relating to sexual safety and therapeutic observations, the Clinical Skills Training Specialist will play a key role in reviewing and updating existing training programmes to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading on provision of comprehensive competency-based programmes of multi-disciplinary staff development relating to essential clinical risk skills in a specialist mental health context
- Designing and delivering mandatory training relating to sexual safety and therapeutic observations
- Reviewing and updating existing training programmes to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the services
- Ensuring review of implementation and effectiveness of development programmes in addressing specific identified learning or clinical needs
- Maintaining an overview of the use of technology-enhanced learning tools in relevant training programmes
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for career development, flexible working arrangements, and access to a range of training and development resources.
