Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Depot General Manager to lead one of our larger Depots in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 100+ employees, overseeing operational management, financial control, compliance, and safety. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong track record of managing teams, budgets, and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 6 direct reports and up to 100 indirect reports, providing leadership and direction for the shift.
  • Ensure the Depot meets client service level agreements (SLAs) and budgetary targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all site health, safety, environment, and security (HSES) rules and regulations.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Management experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Experience of managing operational budgets and targets.
  • Ability to work on own initiative in a pressurized environment to tight deadlines.
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of transport regulations.
  • Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels.
  • Flexible approach to work to meet business requirements.
