Senior Care Team Leader

At Cherrybrook Care Home, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating the care team to ensure a smooth running of the home
- Providing resident support with daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and toileting
- Overseeing medication management, including ordering, administration, and documentation
- Effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
- Fostering a team ethos and promoting a supportive environment for all staff
- Welcoming visitors and showing prospective residents and families around the home's facilities
- Responding promptly to emergency call bells and providing or calling for assistance as needed
- Documenting care plans, risk assessments, and case notes
- Participating in staff meetings, training, and e-learning to develop your skills and knowledge
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential
- Medication training: Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required
- Leadership skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Compassionate nature: A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person-centred care
