Senior Risk Lawyer

Pembury Legal is seeking a seasoned risk lawyer to join their risk management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, particularly in procurement and contract management, and a solid understanding of data protection legislation.
- Key Responsibilities
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, providing strategic advice during negotiations to minimize risks and ensure favourable terms.
- Procurement Support: Advise on the legal aspects of procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize workflows.
- Legal Advisory: Offer guidance on commercial contract issues, data protection compliance, and stay updated on relevant regulatory changes.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on contract management and procurement, and mentor junior legal team members.
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE experience in risk management or as an in-house lawyer. They should have a strong understanding of SRA Standards and Regulations and be able to work closely with senior stakeholders.
