Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Site Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will involve ensuring the maintenance of environmental conditions, carrying out PPM tasks, and performing reactive and breakdown works to mechanical and electrical systems within the site.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists.
  • Completing reactive tasks throughout the building and highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
  • Administering sub-contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
  • Operating a Permit to Work System in accordance with BGIS Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
  • Swiftly remediating plant faults and defects to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
  • Providing suitable spares to carry out both maintenance and reactive works, along with parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
  • Completing all relevant paperwork regarding reactive and breakdown works and passing it without delay to the contract administrator.
  • Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Developing a good working relationship with all members of BGIS staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Ensuring a Safe and Healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE at all times.
  • Promoting the professional image of BGIS at all times.
  • Maintaining all plant rooms under the responsibility of BGIS in a locked and clean condition.
  • Supervising and monitoring sub-contractor works while they are on site undertaking maintenance.
  • Assigning and completing tasks as appropriate.
  • Implementing H&S awareness and compliance with contractual KPIs/SLAs.
  • Maintaining the Computer-Based Maintenance system (Maximo) up-to-date, with accurate data captured for PPM and reactive tickets.
  • Operating a Permit to Work System in accordance with BGIS Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
  • Proactively checking the operation of the LOTO system in accordance with BGIS Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
  • Overseeing the buildings' environmental conditions using the BMS System and maintaining acceptable internal conditions.

Benefits

BGIS offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus scheme, pension plan, and generous holiday allowance.
