Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a complex caseload of individuals, children, carers and families who require support and guidance. Key duties include:
- Demonstrating confident and effective judgement about risk and accountability in decision making.
- Employing a range of interventions to promote independence, provide support and protection, take preventative action and ensure safety.
- Taking the lead in managing positive interventions that prevent deterioration in health and wellbeing.
- Undertaking assessment and planning for safeguarding in complex cases.
- Playing a leading role in practice development, promoting and sustaining a learning culture and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Delivering formal professional reflective supervision and providing guidance and advice regarding casework.
A social work qualification or equivalent is required, as well as continual professional development and registration with Social Work England. The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
