About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced social worker to join our team as a Social Work Specialist. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years+ UK post-qualifying social work experience within a children's social work team.

The role involves working with complex families, providing effective intervention, direct work, and assessments in line with children who are being worked at threshold of child in need, Child protection, and children who are being supported through Care proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality and effective social work services to facilitate, empower, and promote independence, strengths, and assets of both individuals and local communities.
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, and parents, some of whom can be difficult to engage.
  • Deliver a comprehensive assessment and care planning process that ensures the safety and well-being of children.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, other agencies, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a DipSW or equivalent, be registered with the HCPC, have a current CRB, and be a car driver. A minimum of 2 years+ UK post-qualifying social work experience is essential.

Working Arrangements:

This is a 37-hour per week (flexible by negotiation) contract with a 3-month temporary assignment. We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
