Job Title: Specialist Clinical Pharmacist

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Gartnavel General Hospital.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have clinical responsibilities to inpatients, working closely with the multidisciplinary and pharmacy teams to remodel the clinical pharmacy service. This will involve optimising a referral-driven service and maximising the use of prioritisation tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of a new surgical hub at Gartnavel General Hospital
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary and pharmacy teams to remodel the clinical pharmacy service
  • Optimise a referral-driven service and maximise the use of prioritisation tools
  • Support the dispensary services and provide support for the dispensary lead pharmacist
  • Advancing practice is a high priority, and the North Sector is committed to the development of the pharmacy workforce in line with Moving Pharmacy Forward A Strategic Framework 2021-2026
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge, skills, and experience, making significant progress towards completing their Post Registration Foundation Programme or commencing the Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum. Independent Prescribing is essential to this role, and undertaking IP would be supported.
