Job Title: Specialist Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Gartnavel General Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to inpatients, working closely with the pharmacy team to remodel the clinical pharmacy service and optimise referral-driven services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatients, including medication management and optimisation
  • Work closely with the pharmacy team to remodel the clinical pharmacy service and optimise referral-driven services
  • Contribute to the development of a new surgical hub at Gartnavel General Hospital, including the arthroplasty pharmacist pre-op clinic service
  • Support the dispensary lead pharmacist in providing dispensary services
  • Advancing practice is a high priority, and you will be supported in completing your Post Registration Foundation Programme or commencing the Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum

Requirements:

  • Independent Prescribing is essential for this role, and you will be supported in undertaking IP
  • Relevant knowledge, skills, and experience in clinical pharmacy, with a strong focus on older people's services
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate complex information to patients and healthcare professionals
