Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FPGA Engineer to join our team at Leonardo, a leading company in cutting-edge technology products. As an FPGA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing field-programmable gate array (FPGA) solutions that meet our clients' specifications.

Responsibilities
  • FPGA Design and Implementation: Design and implement FPGA solutions for our technology products, collaborating with the hardware and software teams to define system requirements.
  • RTL Code Development: Develop RTL code for FPGA implementations, ensuring design correctness through functional simulation and verification.
  • Timing Analysis and Optimization: Conduct timing analysis and optimize FPGA designs for performance, integrating FPGA designs with other system components.
  • Issue Resolution: Debug and resolve issues related to FPGA designs, providing guidance and support to junior FPGA engineers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • FPGA Knowledge: Proficiency in FPGA hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog, strong understanding of digital design concepts, experience with FPGA development tools, and knowledge of FPGA architectures and implementation methods.
  • Simulation and Verification: Familiarity with simulation and verification tools, solid understanding of timing analysis and optimization techniques, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration abilities, ability to work both independently and within a team environment, attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
