Employee Relations Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Employee Relations Specialist to partner with our client's broader People function and senior leaders across Europe, providing specialist advice and support for a range of employee relations matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day specialist advice and ER leadership on case management, including grievances, performance, conduct, sickness absence, redundancies and settlement agreements.
- Conduct workplace investigations in complex, high risk and high sensitivity situations, synthesize data, identify root causes and recommend actions with necessary partners.
- Ensure cases are kept up to date in real time in the case management system, ensuring accurate input to enable tracking and reporting of ER trends.
- Enhance ER capability amongst line managers and People partners through knowledge building, coaching and the development of effective tools and guidelines.
- Provide interpretation of People policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers.
- Ensure effective and compliant off-boarding of involuntary terminations, including network access and payroll notification in conjunction with the People Business Partner team.
- Assist with DSARS when required in collaboration with the Data Privacy Office.
Requirements
- Proven ability to apply judgment to make sound recommendations and decisions, displaying high levels of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and across geographic and cultural boundaries.
- Team player with customer mindset and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and interface effectively and confidently with all levels of employees, managers and executives.
- Experience coaching managers on performance and conduct matters.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and familiarity with regulations across Europe.
- Solid experience in case management, including the use and development of case management and reporting systems.
- Ability to handle and prioritise a high case load.
- Resourcefulness and ability to understand the impact of actions and decisions.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid HR experience, including employee relations expertise.
- Ideal CIPD qualification and educated to degree level or equivalent.
