Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Assets Manager to join our team in Scotland. As an Estate Surveyor, you will be responsible for advising on the management of non-visited property within the South & West Region.

Your primary focus will be supporting the Regional Director, Business Manager, and Operations Managers within the Regional Team. You will oversee occupancy agreements, revenue generation, administration, and compliance of all let property within the Region.

You will provide briefings and supporting papers for the Regional Director to inform decision-making. Additionally, you will contribute to Trust-wide tasks as part of the National Estates Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide property asset management consultancy advice and support, carrying out connected tasks to further manage a substantial portfolio with responsibility for leased agricultural, residential, and commercial assets.
  • Growing Income - identify opportunities, maximise rental income, improve efficiency, deliver value for money, and progress complex negotiations.
  • Ensure activities align with Trust policies and procedures, best practice, and external requirements, delivering a consistent approach across all activities.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting, including financial reporting, working with Managers to set, manage, and report on budgets.
  • Manage Conservation Agreements within the Region, reporting to the Conservation Agreement Scrutiny Panel where required.
  • Develop relationships with tenants, neighbours, NTS members, and parties connected to NTS.

Requirements

  • RICS qualified with a minimum of 3 years' successful post-qualification experience in agriculture, forestry and woodland management, mapping, management of the natural environment and landscape, access and rights over land, land use and diversification.
  • A self-starter with proactive and resourceful capabilities, able to work effectively within a team dynamic and remotely.
  • Commercially aware and able to negotiate independently and effectively.
  • Proven effective problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, at all levels.
  • Resilient, flexible, and with a positive outlook.

What We Offer

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £39,521 per annum, taking into account the location and industry standards.
