Software Engineering Quality Assurance Specialist

About this role
We're partnering with a leading telecommunications organisation to implement a new Network SIEM, essential for network security, meeting regulatory requirements, and improving cybersecurity assessment levels. As the SIEM Quality Assurance Manager, you'll set the overall direction and strategy for testing the SIEM, from developer to user acceptance, resilience, and all other non-functional requirements. You'll ensure that all testing aligns with the organisation's strategy and meets the highest standards of quality and thoroughness.
Your Responsibilities
• Coordinate teams to deliver product quality strategies for a range of service offerings and products. • Oversee test strategies for business-critical initiatives, lead the identification of quality risks, and ensure efficient delivery of high-quality outcomes. • Spearhead automated testing initiatives, implement new testing methodologies and tools to support agile development, and coordinate the design of test automation solutions. • Foster an open collaboration culture, set and evaluate performance metrics for the QA team, and champion emerging trends in QA engineering best practices. • Coach and manage talent, implement process improvements, and play a key role in developing capabilities within the software engineering team. • Ensure comprehensive testing across all aspects of the SIEM implementation, from developer to user acceptance, including resilience and non-functional requirements.

- Experienced hands-on QA engineer with specific skills in test management, test automation frameworks, user acceptance testing, test strategy creation and execution, regression testing, integration testing, performance testing, scalability testing, resilience testing, and functional/non-functional testing.
- Experience in security applications, particularly SIEM.
- Preferred experience in Elastic-based systems QA.
- Expertise in test management and test automation frameworks.
- Strong skills in user acceptance testing, test strategy creation and execution.
- Experience with regression, integration, performance, scalability, and resilience testing.
- Proficiency in functional and non-functional testing.
- Ability to leverage service virtualisation for testing.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and developing team members.
