About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Ophthalmology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing clinical leadership and expertise in ophthalmic surgery and patient care
- Developing and implementing new services and treatments to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways
- Participating in education and training programs to enhance the skills of junior staff
Requirements
- Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of interview date
- Full registration with the GMC
- FRCOphth or equivalent CCST in Ophthalmology
- Minimum 8 years clinical experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
