We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in an Early Years setting.
Job Summary:This is a full-time contract position, working as a Teaching Assistant in an Early Years setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and assisting the teacher in the classroom, providing a safe and engaging learning environment for young children.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of early years students
- Assist with classroom management, including supervising children during activities and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment
- Provide individualized support to students as needed, including helping with reading, writing, and math skills
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a classroom setting in the UK
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
- Two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
- Accredited continued professional development courses, including Safeguarding and Behaviour Management
- In-house Training and Development Team
Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy. The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
