KCP Network is a fast-growing tech company that provides network engineering services to clients across the UK and Europe. We are expanding our network engineering teams and are looking for experienced Network Engineers to join our team in Bracknell, UK.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to maintain and monitor our clients' networks, troubleshoot network issues, and collaborate with network architects on network optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience in network troubleshooting, VLAN tagging, DHCP, DNS, TCP, UDP, and IP services, as well as knowledge of network multi-vendors and CLI troubleshooting experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor our clients' networks to ensure efficient operation and troubleshoot network issues as required.
  • Schedule upgrades and collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
  • Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources.
  • Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding on customer LAN/WAN.
  • Undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices.
  • Liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers, and service desk engineers regularly.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new solutions.

Requirements

  • Medium to advanced networking troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with VLAN tagging, DHCP, DNS, TCP, UDP, and IP services.
  • Knowledge of network multi-vendors and CLI troubleshooting experience.
  • Understanding remote access and remote-control computer software.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent is preferable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills.
