Senior Project Estimator

CV Library is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Project Estimator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of high-rise construction projects by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation & Analysis: Lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates for high-rise construction projects, including materials, labour, plant, and subcontracts.
  • Value Engineering & Cost Optimization: Provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs without compromising quality or design intent.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments related to cost overruns, scope changes, and project timelines. Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and unforeseen costs.
  • Subcontractor Management & Negotiation: Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best value and compliance with project timelines.
  • Collaborating with Project Teams: Work closely with the project management and site teams to ensure that estimates align with project execution and timelines.
  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to discuss project requirements and cost implications.
  • Project Cost Monitoring & Reporting: Ensure that costs are monitored throughout the project lifecycle, providing ongoing financial reporting and cost control measures.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proficient in estimating software.
  • Experience working with a main contractor on large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record managing subcontractor and supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations for high-rise projects.
  • Familiarity with building contracts (JCT, NEC).
