About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in South Manchester. With nearly 50 years of industry experience, our client designs and manufactures custom-built, industrial products. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating business growth and contributing to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create GA drawings for the MD to discuss with clients
  • Develop manufacturing drawings and oversee production at various sites
  • Quote and procure raw materials and components, including researching and costing non-standard parts
  • Conduct site visits for mechanical repairs or assessments
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in design within a similar industry or structural engineering field
  • HNC/HND qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in quotation and procurement processes
  • Confident user of SolidWorks or Inventor
  • Ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines
  • Clean driving license
  • Full Right To Work in the UK
