Senior Sustainability Program Manager, WW Ops

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sustainability Program Manager to lead our low-carbon fuel strategy in Europe. As a key member of the Worldwide Operations Sustainability (WWOS) team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a plan to diversify and decarbonize our vast transportation fleet's energy supply across air, rail, on-road, and maritime applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Low-Carbon Fuel Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive plan to reduce emissions and increase the use of low-carbon fuels in our operations.
- Lead Sustainability Projects: Manage multiple large-scale projects across different technologies and stakeholder groups to drive sustainability outcomes.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Amazon's Public Policy teams to identify key policy opportunities in Europe and ensure alignment across teams on our sustainability goals.
- Build Expertise and Mentor Others: Develop and share knowledge of low-carbon fuels and their value chain, and mentor subject matter experts across the company.
- Empower Business Units: Help business units become more proficient in the low-carbon fuel space and develop a culture of sustainability.
Worldwide Operations Sustainability (WWOS) sets the vision and strategy for sustainability within Amazon ops, including the overarching strategy and interim targets to achieve the Climate Pledge by 2040. We centrally coordinate strategy across Operations in all regions, particularly on topics that transcend business unit boundaries.
Requirements- Experience in Program or Project Management: Proven track record of owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
- Experience in Fuels, Transportation, or Carbon Trading: Strong understanding of the low-carbon fuels industry, transportation, and/or logistics industry.
- Master's Degree or MBA: In business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field.
