Manufacturing Engineering Internship Opportunity

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will play a crucial role in enabling the assembly teams to continuously improve and sustain their process through our expertise. This will involve developing assembly processes, designing and purchasing equipment, and influencing future products to meet the requirements of building vehicles that meet cost, quality, and volume targets.
The internship will provide you with the opportunity to learn the manufacturing planning process from concept idea to implementation on the shopfloor, applying lean manufacturing principles. You will work on a variety of different projects, ranging from new model introduction to site development, and have the chance to apply design and manufacturing skills learnt at university in a real-time environment.
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for conducting data analysis using different software products and developing coding skills. You will also have a great exposure to other departments and experts in the industry, not only at plant Goodwood but also at other sites and with suppliers.
To be eligible for this internship, you must be studying a Bachelor's or integrated Master's degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a Mechanical, Manufacturing or Automotive Engineering course. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems and/or Quality Systems would be beneficial. You must also be fluent in verbal and written English, and have experience with Microsoft Office tools.
The internship offers a competitive annual salary of £25,300, 27 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract) and an attractive pension scheme.
