About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated radiographer to play a key role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients. As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out general and specialized radiographic procedures, working closely with our clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To participate actively in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high-quality service to all patients and visitors.
  • To carry out general and specialized radiographic procedures within your scope of competence, assessing patients and interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
  • Undertake imaging examinations in line with department operational procedures and policies, using techniques that produce the lowest radiation dose to the patient and staff whilst producing high-quality, diagnostic images.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC).
  • A strong background in radiography, including experience with IT systems such as RIS/PACS.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare service sector and its systems and processes.
  • Awareness of the College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct/Accountability.
  • Knowledge of Radiation Regulations.
