Operational Manager - Care Services

Lead and direct the day-to-day operational management of our care services, ensuring that available resources are used effectively to provide a high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise staff to ensure they receive regular supervision and adhere to CareTech's Policy and Procedures.
  • Work closely with the Service Development Team to select and assess potential new residents, and ensure their transition into our care services is smooth.
  • Develop and implement dynamic support plans for service users, taking into account their needs, aspirations, and preferences.
  • Ensure our care services operate in accordance with statutory requirements and national minimum standards.
  • Lead risk analysis and develop plans to minimize risk where necessary.
  • Ensure the health and well-being of service users, and support Senior Managers with contract monitoring and reporting.
  • Liaise with external agencies and maintain professional relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Support the recruitment and selection of staff, and assist in the formulation of staffing strategies and policies.
  • Participate in budget formulation and monitor expenditure as required.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and administrative systems are in place.
  • Manage the home's petty cash float and valuables belonging to service users.
  • Participate in the Area's on-call management system and ensure good health and safety practices.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, and management to ensure smooth operations.
