About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pain Medicine Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Pain Management, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex pain conditions, with a particular focus on pelvic pain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective pain management plans for patients with pelvic pain
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct research and audits to improve pain management outcomes
  • Teach and mentor junior medical staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • MBChB or equivalent qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesia or equivalent
  • Completion of higher training in Anaesthesia and registration with the GMC
  • Adult Life Support and Advanced Paediatric Life Support Certification or equivalent
  • Registration as a trainer with the GMC (desirable)
