About the Role:

The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services from our suppliers to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our production, logistics, and quality control teams to develop and implement efficient production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
  2. Process Improvement: Analyze and optimize our supply chain processes to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and minimize waste, resulting in cost savings and improved customer satisfaction.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all supply chain activities are in compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards, maintaining our reputation for excellence.
  4. Technology and Innovation: Oversee the use of supply chain software and technologies to streamline operations, improve visibility, and enhance decision-making.
  5. Procurement and Sourcing: Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management with suppliers, to ensure the best possible prices and services.

Requirements:

  1. Analytical Skills: Possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and drive business improvement.
  2. Commercial Experience: Have experience in a commercial role within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
  3. CIPS Qualification: Be CIPS qualified, with a strong understanding of procurement and supply chain management principles.
  4. Technical Skills: Have previous knowledge of Google suite and other supply chain software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  5. Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00, and Friday, 07:00 - 15:00. This role is commutable from various locations, and we welcome applications from candidates who are able to work flexibly and remotely.
