Product Coordinator Opportunity at The Scottish Government

This role offers the chance to contribute to the development and implementation of vital benefits for the people of Scotland, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Social Security Directorate.

As a Product Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting Product Owners and Technical Platform Owners in an Agile project management framework, helping to maintain plans, processes, progress, and reporting for the delivery of individual social security benefits and/or supporting technology platforms.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing, developing, and enhancing master product plans, RAID logs, resource plans, and progress reports.
  • Maintaining, processing, and controlling documents that support product deliverables, including plans, RAID logs, Agile backlog tracking, and development.
  • Providing support for Audit, Assurance, or compliance-related activities.
  • Assisting the implementation of best practice by promoting the use of Programme and Project Management methodology.
  • Supporting Product or Technical Platform owners in planning, managing, and reporting on all areas of delivery.
  • Assisting the Programme Office in managing and reporting on plans, project deliveries, resources, and budgets across the Programme.

We are looking for someone with comprehensive experience of identifying, sourcing, and analysing information to produce concise, well-structured, and accurate written and numeric work. You will also need excellent verbal and written communication skills to build good professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience in supporting and maintaining governance for projects using project management methodologies such as Agile and Prince 2. You will also need to be able to manage your time effectively to ensure that project/process deadlines are met.
