Medical Support Specialist

We are looking for a highly organized and efficient Medical Secretary to provide administrative support to the ADHD Service at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a healthcare setting, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Main Responsibilities- Transcribe discharge summaries, clinic letters, and other correspondence from recorded dictation or handwritten notes.
- Maintain accurate patient records on the Trust's electronic database (RIO) and ensure that all outgoing post is dispatched promptly.
- Liaise with consultants, teams, and outside agencies to organize outpatient clinics and meetings.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a busy environment.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
You will also require a strong understanding of RiO, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
