Production Engineer

Are you a seasoned Production Engineer looking for a new challenge in the Aerospace and Defence sector? We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist to join our client's manufacturing operations team.
This role is primarily responsible for providing technical support for products within the Operations function. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the technical engineering input within Operations, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
You will also be responsible for supporting the technical justification for change control within an Operations environment, as well as supporting the supply chain function with technical queries.

Key Responsibilities:- Support the technical engineering input within Operations (Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain).
- Support the technical justification for change control within an Operations environment.
- Support the supply chain function with technical queries.
- Support the Engineering (NPI) function with change control feedback.
- Present change control technical rational into the Engineering Design Authority.
- Support the implementation of fresh, cost-effective, best practice technological methods which enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- An experienced engineer from a similar industry, able to demonstrate multi-functional engineering competence.
- Solid understanding of Lean Principles and process variation (Green Belt desirable).
- Solid understanding of Core Manufacturing tools and able to implement - OEE, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous improvement methods i.e. Kaizen.
- Solid understanding of APQP to assist members of the NPI Team.
- Qualified to a minimum of HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with previous experience in electronic manufacturing (Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable).
- Ability to problem-solve a wide range of technical issues (Mechanical, Electrical & Process).
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Be proactive using methods to prevent failures within Customer/Production - PFMEA or Ishikawa.
