Senior Power Systems Engineer

A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our team at AqualisBraemar LOC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, and protection systems.
  • Performing power system transient analysis for DP assets.
  • Preparing documentation and attending site visits for marine and offshore assets.
  • Learning new skills and technologies, including novel/emerging technologies.
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical engineering standards (IEC/IEEE/BS/IMCA/MTS/OCIMF).
  • Conducting technical reviews and assisting with tenders and proposals.
  • Leading projects and mentoring junior staff.
  • Ensuring quality document delivery and liaising with clients for project completion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in operational, design, or consultancy roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the energy industry, marine operations, and maritime sector.
  • Proficient in Control and Electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and analyze Controls and Electrical drawings.
  • Programming skills in Python, Power Factory, ETAP, C++, PSCAD, or other embedded electronics software.
