Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Burnley. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a strong-willed individual who can manage challenging behaviors and provide support to students across the school. You will work closely with teachers and SENCo's to develop tailored plans and ensure the best care for each individual child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their physical, social, and emotional welfare.
  • Work alongside teachers to adapt support according to individualized needs of students.
  • Develop and implement tailored plans to ensure the best care for each child.
  • Collaborate with SENCo's and teachers to ensure effective support and communication.
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Pay rate: £13.50 per hour.
  • Start date: October 2024.
