Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Manage project and functional workloads to ensure completion on time
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity
  • Represent the manufacturing team at various forums and meetings
  • Be responsible for the delivery of the team and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard

Requirements:

  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • BEng in relevant Engineering Degree
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Be highly motivated and enthusiastic, to create/maintain a high performing team
  • Be a recognised point of contact for manufacturing enquiries through the deployed team
  • Must demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and commitment to work to meet our delivery milestones
  • Have the ability to interpret Design Drawings with a view to producing Manufacturing Build Instructions
  • Must be confident in people leadership and holding effective team/individual discussions
  • Awareness of digital communication platforms to work and communicate effectively within the workplace
