Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant for Students with Autism

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Educational Needs School in Slough. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism in their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Autism, assisting them in their learning and development.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to implement lesson plans and conduct activities with ASD students.
  • Act as a 'secure base' for students who you work closely with, providing emotional support and stability.
  • Follow the SEN School's policies and procedures in relation to Safeguarding, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, Health and Safety.
Requirements:
  • A thoughtful, engaging, and creative approach to supporting students with Autism.
  • Experience in supporting Autistic students with SEN in Schools.
  • An updated Adult and Child DBS.
  • Ability to use PECs and Makaton to support communication.

We prefer but do not require Manual Handling, Hoisting, and Team Teach training. If you have a passion for supporting students with Autism and are looking for a rewarding career, we encourage you to apply.
