Senior Finance and Administration Specialist

A leading legal firm in Swansea is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Cashier / Finance Manager to oversee critical financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client accounts in line with SRA Accounts Rules and CLC Accounts Rules.
- Process daily banking transactions and maintain accurate client ledgers.
- Conduct regular compliance checks and monthend reconciliations.
Financial Management:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow and manage VAT and tax returns.
- Assist with yearend accounts and payroll management.
Transactional Management:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage disbursements and ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
Financial Controls and Procedures:
- Develop robust financial controls and continuously improve processes.
- Support internal and external audits.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ILFM, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar finance role within a law firm, with experience in client account management, reconciliations, and monthend closing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and legal accounting software (e.g., Hoowla, LEAP).
- Personal Attributes: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent organisational skills.
