About the Role

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical analysis and guidance to shape and influence sustainability strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on sustainability strategies and initiatives
  • Lead workshops to help clients define their strategic sustainability brief
  • Collaborate with the consulting team to develop, implement, and monitor sustainability briefs and targets for various projects
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to sustainability targets and providing mentorship to junior team members
  • Assist in the operation and management of the Sustainability Team, including project governance, forecasting, and bidding processes
  • Represent the company within industry working groups and engage positively with industry institutions to share knowledge and promote best practices
Requirements
  • Hold a degree-level qualification in a sustainability/environmental management/geography subject
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience working in the field of sustainability consultancy and/or construction-side sustainability
  • Have experience in advising on and delivering BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel schemes
  • Have a good understanding of and experience in developing detailed circular economy strategies
  • Ideally, have experience in preparing documentation for planning applications
