Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, as well as assisting the chefs with food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Store and organize all clean items, ensuring that the chefs have all necessary equipment and supplies.
- Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks to maintain the kitchen's high standards.
- Ensure that the back-of-house areas are clear and organized, and that the bin storage areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Follow proper waste disposal and recycling procedures to minimize waste and maintain a clean environment.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, particularly when handling chemicals and waste.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year's experience in a cleaning or cooking role.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
- Previous training in health and safety or chemical handling is beneficial but not required.
- Reliable and dependable individual who can work well independently.
- Hard-working individual who can work at a fast pace.
- Enthusiastic individual who can promote a positive and welcoming culture.
- Task-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
- Flexible with shift patterns and able to work around the needs of the business.
What We Offer
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.95.
- A minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £23,569.
- A permanent contract of a minimum of 35 hours per week.
