Job Title: Supply Chain Administrator Apprentice

Manthorpe Building Products is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic injection moulded, vacuum formed, and extruded products for the building industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Supply Chain Administrator Apprentice to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Planning and Purchasing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of supply by raising purchase orders and improving MRP master data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raising purchase orders in accordance with supply and demand requirements.
  • Collaborating with the Planning Team to ensure purchasing issues are highlighted in good time.
  • Producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the management team.
  • Ensuring invoice queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Fostering open communication with colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Developing opportunities for cost savings and reduction in stock holding.
  • Ensuring excellent time-keeping skills and meeting production requirements.
  • Complying with company and statutory policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in identifying areas of improvement within the area, promoting continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent teamworking skills with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Computer literate in MS office, Outlook, Excel, and Word with good diary management skills.
  • A positive work ethic and enthusiastic approach to activities undertaken.
  • Demonstrates potential for problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates core company values.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability practices.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:30am until 5:00pm.
