We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Kerry, located in Ossett, West Yorkshire. This is a full-time, permanent position with rotating days and nights, 12 hours shifts, Monday to Friday.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will work closely with different teams on-site to ensure that products manufactured in our facility consistently meet industry, company, and consumer expectations. Your responsibilities will include meticulously inspecting finished products, holding, and segregating any items that do not meet specified standards, as well as contributing to minimizing costs while maximizing production efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality inspections on finished products, including metal detection, weight conformity and coding and labelling compliance.
  • Perform recurring inspections such as the Kerry unique 'Golden 6' inspection, hygiene inspections and assessments related to Glass & Perspex.
  • Distribute and report on relevant quality and food safety KPIs.
  • Communicate with shift managers and the technical department regarding any issues that may impact product quality or safety.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with QC testing equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload according to business needs.
  • Great level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidence and ability to make decisions.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in using computer programs such as Excel, OAL, ICCS and SAP.

The salary for this role is approximately £32,498 per annum, including shift pay.
